Curriculum

We pay attention to every detail.

We implement a play-based/emergent interest curriculum based on “Aistear”, the National Early Childhood Curriculum Framework. We provide a range of play-based activities catering for the holistic development of children.

We provide a balance of child-led and adult-led activities and facilitate the emerging interests of the children as they happen.

Indoors

Messy/Sensory play is available daily as young children are in the sensory stage of development. Mud, sand, water, paint, bubbles and playdough are freely accessible and activities with rice, gloop, foam and other sensory materials are used regularly. Sensory/messy play promotes language development, cognitive development, social development and refines fine motor skills.

Outdoors

Outdoor play is a key feature of our curriculum and children are free to access our large, exciting outdoor play environment throughout the session. We are passionate about the benefits of outdoor play to children’s health and well-being.

Giggles Playschool achieved the Siolta Award for Quality from the Department of Education and Skills in 2012 and has won several “Learning Story Awards” from Early Childhood Ireland.

My 3 children were/will be definitely better prepared for primary school thanks to the kind, caring, supportive & professional manner in which Carole & her cohort carry themselves when teaching them. I can wholeheartedly recommend Giggles Playschool to any parent looking for an enjoyable & memorable learning experience for both their child & themselves.
